Project Linus

Project Linus began with the story of Laura - a toddler who was going through treatment for Lukemia in 1995. Laura brought her blankey everywhere with her because it brought her joy and peace through her difficult chemotherapy and other treatments. This story sparked an idea into an individual, and she soon created Project Linus.

Project Linus aims to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers".

Love making blankets and want to help? Join us at Project Linus to make some blankets! You can bring your donations (see section below) to Project Linus on our listed sign-ups dates and stick around to assist Project Linus with making blankets.

Project Linus is in need of some specific blanket making material. If you would like to donate, please bring your donations on the dates and times listed below. The blanket material donations we are looking for are:

• Anti-Pill
• Blizzard Fleece

There are multiple chances to drop off your donation! Check out all of the information below:

Date 2: Wednesday, November 19th, 9:30am - 1:30pm

You can also drop off your donations at the final Day of Service event scheduled for Friday, December 5th.
