Operation christmas child
Purpose & Mission
The mission of Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is to provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Shoeboxes are filled with small toys, hygiene products, and other items that are able to fit in the shoebox. These shoeboxes are then shipped overseas to less fortunate kids who may be receiving their very first Christmas gift when receiving this box.
Since 1993, more than 232 million kids in 170 different countries have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox!

In-person service opportunity
Operation Christmas Child delivers great joy and the good news to children in need around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes.
Each box packed full of quality toys, school supplies, and personal care items becomes a tangible expression of God's immense love for the child. For many, it is their first gift ever! Delivered by our local church partners, shoebox gifts provide an opportunity to present the Gospel to boys and girls in a clear, child-friendly way.
We will be having a packing party at Faith Assembly of God in Lothian! Come down and pack as many shoe boxes as you can.
When: October 17th, 1pm - 3pm
Where: 250 W Bay Front Rd. Lothian MD 20711
(Come straight down the drive way to the building in the back, walk into the double doors, and walk straight back to the gym.)
