The “Patriot House: A Home for Veterans” will be the first and only in Anne Arundel County. It is designed to assist Veterans who are homeless with the transition back to independent living. This program has received support from the local, state a federal levels, and is much needed in Anne Arundel County. The program will house up to six Veterans, along with one live-in staff member, and will be handicap accessible. The program will have a strong employment, training, and educational component as well as support services for all other health-related matters. Potential residents will be required to pass a background check and drug screening prior to admittance. The program will be recovery based and all residents will be required to submit to mandatory drug and alcohol testing. Residents may live in the program for up to two years, with the goal of moving them back to independent living.

The Patriot House is a home for (6) Veterans experiencing homelessness. This location acts as a transition home with the ultimate goal of moving into an independent residence with a steady income.
Past residents found this transition difficult, as they do not have the equity to purchase starter items for a new home.
A local Eagle Scout created "Transition Boxes" full of household essentials. One box is given to a veteran when they leave the Patriot House and transition to their new apt./home.
Our goal is to complete (5) transition boxes to make this move a little easier. Items may be brought to the Day of Service this coming Friday. If we are able to fill all spots - we will add additional transitional boxes to our efforts.
